Rain, rain go away, but please come back another day!
You may be reading this in the hope that the recent and constant, torrential rain in the UK is perhaps at last passing! By its very nature, persistent rain can make us feel depressed, low and just plain fed up. A bit like living with a Neighbour From Hell, it's pretty much a 'damp squib' isn't it?
But with the rain often comes a blissful respite for many people who live next door to the Neighbours From Hell. Rain stops play, literally.
Rain stops the noisy barbeques, the rowdy football matches; rain stops the noisy, beer-drinkers in their gardens and rain dampens the noise of many noisy and anti-social neighbours when they're going about their 'business' of misery making.
Rain can be our friend and stop the dread, at least temporarily.
