The endemic boy racers are just that. Boys of 10, 12 and 14 upward take to the streets in ever watchful gaze for a 'new' motor to challenge.
It seems to make no difference to them whether they can reach the brake pedals or not.
As long as they can get past first post (or is that gear) then they are satisfied.
It's simply a matter of logistics.
I can get into the car - I can race it.

Why bother to steal from it? It's the vehicle itself that is the howdah of the juvenile, with teenagers sitting up through the proverbial sun roof and allowing the wind to blow through the absence of hair. It's worth losing the odd baseball cap to embrace a better status symbol.
