Covers areas such as a new building on the line of junction, repairs to party walls and the rights of owners (including access), disputes, serving Party Wall Act notices, etc.

Gives rights to both parties on 'either side' of the party wall concerning all aspects of planned work on a structure. Does not change any other requirements ref. Planning Permission/Building Regulation approvals.

Act covers structures such as garden walls, floors/ceilings of flats, excavation near a neighbouring property or a wall that forms a part of one building but could be on the boundary line between 2 (or more) properties.
