A large and very complex act of law/legislation regarding housing and homelessness. Part 7 of this act details 'homelessness' specifically and a person's eligibility for assistance, etc - including duties to provide accommodation.

Amended by Housing Act 2004 where applicable, which covers other reforms for tenant protection, measures to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour and reintroduce empty properties back into current usage.
