Crime and Disorder Act 1998
This act stipulates and encourages partnership practices and the importance of working together in partnership in order to effectively impact on the reduction of crime and disorder.
It insists on a 'statutory' duty regarding Police and Local Authorities who must create and put into place different strategies to effectively manage problems and issues in local/geographical areas. When doing this, the authorities who are responsible must work in partnership with a whole different range of voluntary organisations/groups, community groups, private and other local public services.
